Our Staff
Katherine McGregor, RN
Certified Menopause Educator
Located in Larkspur California, Katherine McGregor, R.N. and John Arpels, M.D. have a private practice specializing in menopausal Gynecology. Their collaboration in practice has lasted thirteen years in the Bay Area. With a leading emphasis on bio-identical hormones, testosterone replacement, and various HRT treatments. Patients are also offered general gynecological services such as annual exams, pap smears, breast exams, diagnosis of bladder/vaginal disorders, STD checks and birth control.
More specialized services include counseling for libido and sexuality dysfunctions, exercise and diet related issues, life energy and well being concerns. There is great care and concern for the changes and challenges every woman faces in the process of living and aging.

John C. Arpels, MD
Gynecologist Dr. John C. Arpels recieved his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He is one of the founding members of the North American Menopause Society and has traveled widely lecturing on female hormones in menopause, an area of his special interest, for the past 30 years. He maintains a private practice in Larkspur, where he and Katherine Mc Gregor, R.N. specialize in menopausal gynecology and PMS management.
He has made numerous personal appearances, locally, nationally, internationally, plus on television and radio discussing these topics. He has published articles on breast cancer, hormone function in the brain, as well as written forwards to books concerning womens health and is a co-author for a patient workbook.
